The deal, in plain words.

UploadFilm uploads your files to cloud storage, checks them against the copies on your Mac, makes proxies, and gives you share links. The free plan includes 50 GB; paid plans add storage as listed on the pricing page.

• You keep all rights to what you upload. We don't claim any ownership.
• You give us permission to store, copy, process (for example to make proxies and poster frames) and serve your files, only to run the service for you and the people you share with.
• You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload and for who you share links with. Anyone with a link can watch and download.

• Upload anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Use UploadFilm to distribute malware, spam or content that sexualises minors.
• Try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or access projects you weren't given a link to.
• Resell the service or use it to run a public file host.

We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules, and we'll respond to valid legal requests, including copyright notices sent to privacy@uploadfilm.com.

We verify every original against your file and never delete footage to make room. Still, no service can promise zero risk: keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose until UploadFilm says it's safe to clear the card, and ideally a second backup after that.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until cancelled. Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. If you go over your storage, new uploads pause; nothing is deleted.

We work hard to keep UploadFilm running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

You can stop using UploadFilm at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the privacy page). We may end the service with at least 30 days' notice, during which you can download everything.
